Day 1: Arrival at Mumbai- After arriving in Mumbai, get an assisted transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is going to be fun-filled. In the afternoon, visit the well-known tourist attractions of the commercial capital of India including the Gateway of India, Hanging garden, Juhu beach, Haji Ali Dargah etc. Overnight in Mumbai.
Day 2: Mumbai - Cochin - Kumarakom- Today, get on-time transfer to the airport to board a flight to Cochin. On arrival, meet an IHPL representative who helps you with an assisted transfer to your pre-booked resort, Coconut Lagoon, in Kumarakom. After completing the check-in formalities at your hotel, settle into your room. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Stay overnight.
Day 3 - 7: (Coconut Lagoon at Kumarakom -Ayurveda treatment)- Days 3 to 7 are booked for rejuvenating your tired mind, body and soul at Coconut Lagoon. In the span of 7 days, you avail the amazing benefits of Ayurveda therapies. Your program, therapies and meals during your stay at the resort are decided by the resident doctor. During these days, you consume only vegetarian diet and no alcohol or tobacco is allowed. You indulge in herbal body massages, yoga and meditation sessions, yogic meals high on nutritional value, steam baths, beauty treatments etc. If you want, you can have a word with the resident doctor. These 7 days become a great experience leaving you completely refreshed. You can also read Ayurveda books during your free time.
Day 8: Kumarakom- Day 8 after breakfast is free for leisure activities. You can indulge in the activities of your interest. You can enjoy the water sports activities on direct payment. Stay overnight.
Day 9: Kumarakom/Alleppey- Today head straight to Kottayam. Upon arrival, get on board the beautiful houseboat and sail towards Alleppey, Kerala's backwater hub, referred to as the Venice of the East. Traditionally known as Kettuvallam, an overnight houseboat is well-equipped, has the required number of rooms and comes with a rower and a trained chef. As the boat cruises on the placid backwaters, soak-in the tranquility and treat your eyes to the beautiful lush views of the surrounding palm coconut grooves and paddy fields. Spot colorful birds, notice the villagers indulged in their daily routine. An overnight backwater cruise.
Day 10: Alleppey - Cochin- Today morning check out from the houseboat , drive towards Cochin, on arrival transfer to the hotel , later take the city tour , you are going to visit the popular tourist attractions of this coastal city. Most of the attractions of the city have a Portuguese, Dutch and British influence in their architecture. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, built in 1568. Observe the beautiful hand painted Chinese tiles in white and blue color used here. Next in line is the oldest European church of the country, the St. Francis Church. Later visit the Dutch Palace, also known as Mattancherry Palace. You are going to see the murals, Palanquins and many more ancient things here. Do not miss the Chinese nets too. The evening is fixed for attending a Kathakali performance.
Day 11: Departure from Cochin- Get on-time transfer to the airport to board a flight for your onward destination.
