The city is flanked by Bay of Bengal in the East, West Bengal in the North East, Jharkhand in the North, Chhattisgarh in the West and Andhra Pradesh in the South. Today Bhubaneswar is the bustling center of commerce. Having merged its past with its modern aspirations, it forms an integral link in the golden triangle that includes the holy cities of Puri and Konark.
PURI - Abode of Lord Jagannath, literally
Lord of the World, Puri is one of the four holiest places in India. Located on
the shores of Bay of Bengal, it is one of the finest beaches in India. This
pilgrimage town is also the home of artisans and craftsmen who produce a wide
range of unique handicrafts. The important feature of Puri is its beautiful
beaches which have offered both pleasures to pilgrims and swimmers for
centuries. It is one of the most delightful beaches in the country and is
becoming a pleasure haunt for tourists from all over the globe.
KONARK- Konark
is the third link in Odisha's Golden triangle and is situated at a distance of
about 35 kms from Puri, has some of the most spectacular examples of religious
architecture. The glorious 13th century Konark temple, dedicated to the Sun God
has been designated as an UNESCO World Heritage Monument. This ancient stone
resound with the chime of ankle bells and the beat of the mrindagam during the
dance festival held here in winter.

DAY 1: BHUBANESWAR
Arrive in Bhubaneswar and later transfer to the hotel. After breakfast, full day city tour of Bhubaneswar.
LINGARAJ TEMPLE- The temple is an ancient temple with great religious importance. Dedicated to Lord Shiva as the name suggests, it is visited by a huge number of devotees throughout the year. The temple is a spectacular specimen of Orissa style of temple with a hint of Kalinga style of architecture.
RAJA RANI TEMPLE- The temple is situated in the capital of Orissa was earlier known as Indreswara Temple. Raja Rani temple is one of the most renowned and popular temples situated in the capital of Orissa. It is founded in 18th century and is temple devoted to Lord Brahma. Beautiful sculptures are carved on the walls of the temple.
PARASURAMESWARA TEMPLE- Constructed in 650 A.D. this temple is a unique specimen of Oriyan style of architecture. The most special feature of this temple is the presence of one thousand lingas in the north-west corner of the complex. Besides this, it is adorned with beautiful carvings of Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The artistic splendor with which the detailing of the sculptures and carvings are done reflects the glory of the era gone by.
MUKTESHWARA TEMPLE- Dedicated to Lord Shiva is a 10th century temple and presents a quintessential example of the longevity of the Kalinga style of architecture. This temple has beautiful sculptures and carvings depicting the various Panchatantra stories.

DAY 2: BHUBANESWAR
After breakfast, visit the famous Jain Caves .
UDAYGIRI & KHANDGIRI CAVES- The caves, 6 km from West of Bhubaneswar city center, were chiseled out for the ascetic Jain monks, also has some inscriptions describing the exploits of king Kharavel.
NANDANKANAN ZOO- About 20 km from city center is a Zoo and a botanical garden surrounded by dense forest, famous for breeding of various endangered species, safaris and white tigers.

DAY 3: BHUBANESWAR - PURI
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the Puri an important religious site enroute visiting a small village Pipli.
A small village enveloped in a blaze of color, 15 km South of Bhubaneswar, on the highway to Puri, is home of applique work. The craft originated to serve temples, providing intricately stitched colored awnings and covers for deities and hangings for festival days, details on the craft. Continue your drive to Puri. Transfer to hotel. Spend your evening by along the beach.

DAY 4: PURI
After breakfast, go for Darshan at famous Jagannath Temple
JAGANNATH PURI TEMPLE- The temple is one of the holy Chardham in India. Located in the beach city of Puri in Odisha (Orissa), the holy temple is visited by Hindu devotees throughout the year. The 11th century temple is the holy abode of Lord Jagannath, accompanied by Subhadra and Balabhadra. The divine ambiance of the temple is said to cleanse your soul.
SAKHIGOPAL- The temple is famous for the shrine of Lord Krishna. The life-size image is standing with flute and Radha is standing on the left side. The images are very beautiful and impressive. The temple is just like a miniature temple of the Lord Jagannath. Sakhigopal is also important as it was one of the educational centers during the 19th and 20th centuries.
PURI BEACH- One of the most popular Puri beach is known for its roaring waves of Bay of Bengal, and fine white sands. The beach is visited by flocks of devotees as well as vacationers in huge numbers, every year. The devotees of Lord Jagannath believe that by taking a dip in the sea here is like paying homage to the Lord.

DAY 5: PURI - KONARK - BHUBANESWAR
After breakfast, return to Bhubaneswar, en-route visiting the world-renowned Sun Temple at Konark.
KONARK SUN TEMPLE- Often called as the Black Pagoda, it is one of the most stunning monuments of religious significance; a true masterpiece of architecture proudly stands in the form of Sun Temple at Konark. A culmination of Oriya architecture, the temple is a wonderful place as the language of stone defeats the human language here. Built in 13th century by King Narasimhadeva, the temple is designed in the shape of a colossal chariot with seven horses and twelve wheels, carrying the sun god, Surya, across heavens.
CHANDRABHAGA BEACH- Set in the village of Chandrabhaga in Puri District of Orissa, Chandrabhaga Beach is considered one of the finest beaches along the eastern coast of India. The beach is located at a distance of 3 km from the World Heritage Site Konark Temple. The beach holds great importance in the cultural and traditional identity of Orissa. Chandrabhaga Beach is believed to have witnessed the rise and fall of the Konark Temple.
Later travel back to Bhubaneswar to catch your flight/train towards onward destination.
