The city is flanked by Bay of Bengal in the East, West Bengal in the North East, Jharkhand in the North, Chhattisgarh in the West and Andhra Pradesh in the South. Today Bhubaneshwar is the bustling centre of commerce. Having merged its past with its modern aspirations, it forms an integral link in the golden triangle that includes the holy cities of Puri and Konark.

KONARK- Konark is at a distance of about 35kms from Puri, has some of the most spectacular examples of religious architecture. The glorious 13th century Konark temple, dedicated to the Sun God has been designated as an UNESCO World Heritage Monument. This ancient stone resound with the chime of ankle bells and the beat of the mrindagam during the dance festival held here in winter.

DAY 1: BHUBANESWAR
Welcome at Bhubaneswar Airport / Railway Station. Drive to the Puri an important religious site enroute visiting Pipli and Dhauli Hills.
PIPLI- A small village enveloped in a blaze of color, 15 km South of Bhubaneswar, on the highway to Puri, is home of applique work. The craft originated to serve temples, providing intricately stitched colored awnings and covers for deities and hangings for festival days, details on the craft.
DHAULI HILLS- 8 km south of the present Bhubaneswar, across the Daya River, Dhauli has major edicts of Ashoka engraved on a mass of rock. It is presumed to be the area of the bloody battle of Kalinga, won by the Mauryan emperor Ashoka in 265 BC. The marvelous Shanti Stupa or Peace Pagoda is also located here.
Continue your drive to Puri. Transfer to hotel. Spend your evening by along the Golden Beach.
GOLDEN BEACH- One of the most popular Puri beach is known for its roaring waves of Bay of Bengal, and fine white sands. The beach is visited by flocks of devotees as well as vacationers in huge numbers, every year. The devotees of Lord Jagannath believe that by taking a dip in the sea here is like paying homage to the Lord.

DAY 2: PURI - KONARK - PURI
After breakfast, go for Darshan at famous Jagannath Temple and later drive to Konark
SAKHIGOPAL- The temple is famous for the shrine of Lord Krishna. The life-size image is standing with flute and Radha is standing on the left side. The images are very beautiful and impressive. The temple is just like a miniature temple of the Lord Jagannath. Sakhigopal is also important as it was one of the educational centres during the 19th and 20th centuries.
KONARK SUN TEMPLE-Often called as the Black Pagoda, it is one of the most stunning monuments of religious significance; a true masterpiece of architecture proudly stands in the form of Sun Temple at Konark. A culmination of Oriya architecture, the temple is a wonderful place as the language of stone defeats the human language here. Built in 13th century by King Narasimhadeva, the temple is designed in the shape of a colossal chariot with seven horses and twelve wheels, carrying the sun god, Surya, across heavens.
CHANDRABHAGA BEACH- Set in the village of Chandrabhaga in Puri District of Orissa, Chandrabhaga Beach is considered one of the finest beaches along the eastern coast of India. The beach is located at a distance of 3 km from the World Heritage Site Konark Temple. The beach holds great importance in the cultural and traditional identity of Orissa. Chandrabhaga Beach is believed to have witnessed the rise and fall of the Konark Temple.

DAY 3: PURI - CHILIKA LAKE - BHUBANESWAR
In the morning proceed to Chilka Lake the largest brackish water body in Asia & is the home of numerous birds & sea life. Visit to Island by boat.
Later depart at Bhubaneswar airport/station to catch your flight/train towards onward destination.
