OVERVIEW- Siliguri is situated at the base of the Himalaya Mountains in the plains of Darjeeling District by the side of River Mahananda. It is the 2nd largest city in West Bengal and known as the gateway of North-Eastern India. Siliguri is famous as a trading and commercial centre of North Bengal. It is a gateway to all the hill stations of the North-East, Sikkim and North Bengal and one can even get a picturesque of the Himalayan Ranges. It is the transit location to the neighboring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar and into the Himalayan ranges of Gangtok, Mirik, Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Kurseong. It lays approximately 90 kms from Darjeeling town. Being a tea growing area it attracts tourists from all over world to have a spectacular array of tea. It also offers adventure sport such as fishing and angling and white water rafting in the rapids of the Teesta River.

Welcome at Bagdogra Airport / Siliguri Railway Station. Transfer to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or you can go for a leisure walk around the place.

After breakfast visit the beautiful city of Siliguri

MAHANANDA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY- This is the forest reserve is situated between River Mahananda and River Teesta. It got the status of a sanctuary in 1959 to protect the Indian bison and royal Bengal tiger, which were facing the threat of extinction It is also home to very endangered birds like Rufous-necked Hornbill, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Great Hornbill etc.

CORONATION BRIDGE- The Bridge is the gateway to the beautiful north-eastern region. It is situated on the outskirts of Siliguri and connects Darjeeling on one end to Jalpaiguri on the other. This bridge is not only a sparkling remnant of architecture inspired by the Roman empire but also offers a panoramic view of the Teesta river flowing underneath.

KALI MANDIR- Sevokeshwari Kali Mandir is located near the Coronation Bridge and is at a distance of nearly 36 km from Bagdogra. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali and is of high significance to the people. From the premises of the temple, one can see the beautiful view of the peaks of Kanchenjunga.

SALUGARA MONASTERY- Established by Tibetan Buddhist Monks and followers of Dalai Lama, the monastery is famous for the 100 feet stupa founded by the Tibetan Lama, Kalu Rinpoche. This monastery also known as The Great International Tashi Gomang Stupa and is situated just 6 km away from the main town. This monastery also contains five kinds of Buddhist relics.

THE SCIENCE CITY- The North Bengal Science Centre is a highly reputed institution in north Bengal famed for its planetarium and Nature Interpretation Centre.
