OVERVIEW- Tour to the remote and picturesque Kinnaur & Sangla valley which are considered as one of the most beautiful regions of Himachal Pradesh. Starting from Shimla which was once the capital of British India and the town still retains some of the old charm. The tour involves visiting old temples, traditional villages, remote valleys providing spectacular views of snow capped peaks, rivers & streams and charming village folk of Kinnaur and Sangla. It offers ample opportunities to nature and enthusiastic photo lovers.

SHIMLA- Popularly called the Queen of Hill Stations .Once the summer capital of the British in 1864 AD. Presently also it is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla is a perfect heaven for those in search of tranquility. Nature has blessed this capital city with innumerable gifts and man has used them to make Shimla one of India's best destinations.

NARKANDA- Surrounded by forests and woodlands, Narkanda is a quaint little town in Shimla district which is popular for skiing in winters. Situated at a height of 9000 feet, this town attracts tourists for its ethereal natural beauty and its beautiful apple orchards. 

SARAHAN- A small village in Himachal Pradesh, Sarahan is known as the "Gateway of Kinnaur". Located near the old Indo- Tibetan Road this is a beautiful hamlet situated in the Sutlej Valley, at an average altitude of about 2165 m above sea level. The village is famous for its never-ending apple orchards, pine forests, small streams, rustic settings and slate roofed houses.

SANGLA- It is an important village of the Baspa valley situated on the right bank of Baspa River. Bounded by strapping mountain slopes, sprawling evergreen forests and snow covered peaks, the valley is set apart from others by its red apples orchard and luscious cherry trees. Also makes its way through the place, meandering and gurgling, famous for trout fishing.

KALPA- Kalpa, the main village of Kinnaur, in the Sutlej River Valley is known for its many beautiful temples and monasteries; this town is also famed for its apple orchards. The majestic Kinnaur-Kailash range peeking from across the Sutlej River makes for a blissful break.

DAY 1: SHIMLA- Arrive to the Queen of Hill Stations-Shimla. Transfer to the hotel.

Later you can visit the MALL ROAD, which is the main shopping center of Shimla. It is considered as the heart of the town. A vast variety of goods, handicrafts, wools and shawls, pullovers, Tibetan carpets, pickles, and squashes are here to offer. Shimla is considered the best market for handicrafts.

Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 2: SHIMLA - NARKANDA- Today visit the beautiful locations of Shimla.

CHRIST CHURCH- Located on the Ridge, the Christ Church is known to be the second oldest church in North India. This pale yellow structure dominates the skyline of the Mall. The stained glasses installed on its large windows enhance its beauty.

JAKHOO HILL- Lies 2 km from Shimla, Jakhoo hill positions itself at an elevation of 8000 ft. This is the highest peak of Shimla from where you can enjoy the charm of its landscape. It houses an old Hanuman temple, which is frequented by devotees from different parts of the world.

SHIMLA STATE MUSEUM- This museum was started in 1974 and serves as a repository of different relics related to art, cultural anthropology and archaeology. The museum secures a collection of 9000 objects that highlight the cultural richness of Himachal Pradesh. It has various galleries, showcasing artwork of various patterns and periods.

CHADWICK FALLS- Cascading from a height of 67 m, this Chadwick Falls stream down from the summer hill. Settled amidst a thicket of deodar trees, it looks spectacular. Travellers can take delight in the bracing environs of the place or simply can go on trekking in the adjoining forested areas.

THE RIDGE- Situated in the heart of Shimla, The Ridge is a spacious area that runs east to west alongside the Mall road. It connects the place at the Scandal point on the west side. The road leading to wooden crafts market is known as the Lakkar Bazaar.

Later drive to Narkanda.

DAY 3: NARKANDA - SARAHAN- After breakfast visit the place

HATU PEAK- Hatu Peak is the highest point in Narkanda and gives a beautiful scenic view of mountains covered in snow and its surroundings. The only way to reach the hill top is by trekking through it. The peak is famous for the attractions namely Hat temple and a small pond located on the top. 

TANNU JUBBAR LAKE- This Lake encircled with trees all around is an ideal picnic spot and to spend some relaxed time with the mountain watching over.

Later continue your drive to Sarahan a beautiful serene hamlet.  Sarahan is known as the "Gateway of Kinnaur". Transfer to hotel. Day free for leisure activities.

DAY 4: SARAHAN - SANGLA- Today embark on a tour to explore the lovely village Sarahan. 

BHIMAKAL TEMPLE- The temple complex is a unique blend of Indian and Buddhist architectural styles including two temple buildings; which houses the Goddess Bhimakali. It is believed to be at least 800 years old. The temple is one of the most prominent 'shakhtipeeth' according to the Puranas.

BHABHA VALLEY- The valley has a mesmerizing view with its Reservoir Lake and dewy meadows. SHIRKHAND MAHADEV- This Is a Hindu Pilgrimage centre devoted to Lord Shiva. According to Indian epics, Lord Shiva meditated in this Bashal Peak, where the temple is located.

In the afternoon drive to an important village of the Baspa valley situated on the right bank of Baspa River- Sangla. On the way visit Jeaori hot springs, Taranda and Vangtu are some picturesque places. Transfer to the hotel. Evening free for leisure.

DAY 5: SANGLA - After breakfast, explore the vicinity around this beautiful village

KAMRU FORT- This fort is a perfect place for a glimpse in to the artistic legacy of past. Now converted into a temple, it is dedicated to Hindu Goddess Kamakhya Devi.

BERING NAG TEMPLE- An architectural wonder, this place is a must visit. It is considered as one of the most important temples for Hindus. This temple is devoted to Lord Jagas.

BUDDHIST MONASTERY- Buddhist Monastery also referred to as Brelengi Gompa was established in 1992 to perform the Kalachakra ceremony by the Mahabodhi Society. 

CHITKUL VILLAGE- The last village in India, beyond which lies the Indo-Tibetan Border, this one is about 28 km away from Sangla. Sitting on banks of River Bapsa, this village is mystery waiting to be unfolded.

With excruciating scenic beauty, one can buy the famous potatoes of this village.

SANGLA MEADOW- Lush green meadows spotted with mud patches and a magnificent backdrop of snow covered Himalayan Mountains. What else could you ask for, to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.

BASPA RIVER- A rippling river with a photographic scenic beauty is an ideal place where tourists prefer to fish, camp and trek.

DAY 6: SANGLA - KALPA

After breakfast, start driving to Kalpa, one of the largest and most beautiful hamlet in Kinnaur region. Its claim to fame is that it is one of the world's heritage villages. Transfer to the hotel. After freshen up explore this amazing place.

KINNER KAILASH PEAKS- Kinnaur is perceived to be a magical land aka the land of fairy tales and fantasies which has a spectacular terrain of lush green valley, orchards, vineyards, snow clad peaks and cold desert mountains. The massive snow laden ranges which provide a regal dignity to the scene are dominated by the peak of Kinner Kailash. 

NARAYAN NAGINI TEMPLE- A perfect example of Kinnauri craftsmanship, this temple is constructed in traditional Tibetan Pagoda style of architecture. Situated on the top of a hill at Chini Village, this temple is one of the major attractions of the village.

HU-BU-LAN-KAR MONASTERY- It is a perfect place for history buffs! This extremely old monastery was founded by Rinchensang-po (950-1055 AD) and is very ancient.

DAY 7: KALPA - SHIMLA- After breakfast drive back to Shimla, and Day free to enjoy scenic beauty of the little town and later.
