Tiger Safari Bandhavgarh-The tiger safari is a panoramic delight and offers exciting wildlife sightings. As you proceed further the bounty of this magnificent paradise unfolds. In this preserve a leopard is a bigger surprise than the tiger. The big cats abound and can be seen in one safari package of three nights. Spotted deer and sambar are common so is the Hanuman langur and the macaque. Other animals seen are Nilgai, sloth bear, chinkara, dhole, wild boar, barking deer and at times the four horned deer on the plateau. BTR has about 250 avian species including the migrants. The bio diversity overwhelms by its floral and faunal richness. Innumerable number of insects, butterflies, reptiles and mammals survive in this tiger conservation center.
Right from prehistoric times Bandhavgarh has been the abode of many civilizations. The scattered ruins, temples, caves, Bandhavgarh Fort and Sesh Shaiyya all stand as testimony to human presence. Best time to visit the park is in winters but wildlife sightings increase during the hot months of summer. The summer months are ideal for photography as the light stays longer and animals congregate everywhere.
