OVERVIEW- Aizawl, a charming hill station, is the capital of Mizoram in North East India. The population of Aizawl consists of different communities of the ethnic Mizos. The 112-year-old town is also the centre of all important government offices, the state assembly house and the civil secretariat. Aizawl is located above the Tropic of Cancer, set on a ridge 1132 m above sea level, with the Tlawng river valley to its west and the Tuirial river valley to its east. The interesting characteristic of the region is its timber houses and varieties of flowers. Among one of the oldest cities in the north eastern region of India, with an elevated setting and breathtaking views, Aizawl is a peaceful little town even though it's the capital of the state. It would be probably one of the most peaceful state capitals in India.

DAY 1: AIZAWL
Welcome at Aizawl Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Later visit
MIZORAM STATE MUSEUM- Located right in the centre of the city, this museum displays the rich heritage of Mizoram. Along with the numerous archaeological artifacts, photographs and natural history specimens, an entire gallery here is dedicated to the Mizo tribes.
Evening at leisure or you can go for a leisure walk around the place.

DAY 2: AIZAWL
After breakfast visit the beautiful hill station- Aizawl
REIEK TLANG- At 1600 meters, Reiek Tlang is one of the highest hills of Mizoram. A place to find peace and serenity, Reiek Tlang calls out to the lovers of nature, adventure and romance. Located some 35 km away from the city of Aizawl, Reiek Tlang provides its visitors an opportunity for trekking with the backdrop of sceneries borrowed from the Mizo Hills.
KV PARADISE- Also known at Taj Mahal of Mizoram. This mausoleum of marble is constructed by Khawlhring in memory of his wife Varte. After the death of Varte in a motor accident Khawlhring showered his entire savings to create this three-storey mausoleum in her memory.
In the evening visit the Handloom and Handicraft centre of Aizawl followed by a walk around the traditional Mizo tribal village. Later stroll around the Bara Bazar which is the main shopping centre of Aizawl. The local people are best seen in the Bazar with their traditional costumes selling produce from farms and homesteads including river crabs with little wicker baskets.

Day free for leisure and later depart at airport/station to catch your flight/train towards onward destination.
