OVERVIEW- Yelagiri Hills is located near Krishnagiri town on the Bangalore-Chennai highway. Yelagiri is a beautiful hill station and actually a group of small villages, away from the hustle-bustle of Vellore district, in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The hill station is situated at a height of 3000 feet and the weather is salubrious throughout the year. The main attractions of this place are a lake where you can go boating and Swamimalai Hills- a 3 kilometers trek uphill that will take you to a small temple and let you enjoy panoramic views of the mountains among others.

Chennai is housed with a number of historic landmarks and beaches.
YELAGIRI HILLS- Yelagiri is a cluster of 14 hamlets lie between four mountains spread over an area of 30 sq km having an altitude of 3500 ft. The tribal people who live here are engaged in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, etc. Orchards, rose gardens and green valleys, surround these hills. The Whole of Yelagiri was once the private property of the Yelagiri Zamindar Family. It was taken over by the government of India during the Early 1950s. The house of the Yelagiri Zamindars still exists in Reddiyur. It is also one of the famous places for trekkers.

JALAGAMPARAI FALLS- Located at a short distance away from Yelagiri, Jalagamparai Falls is a beautiful place located in the Yelagiri Hills of the Vellore district of Tamil Nadu. The Jalagamparai waterfalls descend from a height of 15 meters and are a hotspot for honeymooners and newlyweds. The falls can be reached after a trek of 1 hour.
PUNGANOOR LAKE- Located within the periphery of 57 square meters, Punganoor Lake is a manmade lake which is artificially created to enhance the beauty of the place. There is a beautiful floriculture garden in the vicinity of the lake where people can relax and enjoy the beauty of the lake on the other side.
SWAMIMALAI HILLS- Built in the form of a cake with a strong base at the bottom, Swamimalai Hills is located at a height of 4338 meters from the base level and tourists love ascending the great heights at a stretch. There are several small peaks in the neighborhood such as Javadi Hills, Pallamathi Hills and others which are easy to climb and let you enjoy the beauty of the nature from a far-off place.
