OVERVIEW- The holy town of Shirdi in Maharashtra is associated with the 19th century saint Sai Baba. This small hamlet is located at a distance of 100 kilometers from Nashik. Today, it is a bustling pilgrimage center of India. It is said that Sai Baba entered this village at the age of 16 years. He was first seen under a Neem tree in a self-mortification state. During his stay in Shirdi, which is more than 50 years, he worked for the upliftment of poor and backward classes. He turned this small hamlet into a big pilgrimage site for devotees. Although the early life of Sai Baba was hidden under enigma, he is believed to be an embodiment of Lord Shiva. He died in the year 1918 and his Samadhi is visited by thousands of devotees throughout the year.
MUMBAI- Mumbai is the capital city of Maharashtra and is the financial powerhouse of the country. Also well known commercial capital of India, fast paced cosmopolitan city. This historic city, extends along the sea, has grand buildings and is the center of India's Hindi film industry. The city is famous as the center of glamour and glitz due to the presence of Indian film industry. Mumbai is also a historical city having many attractions to offer to a visitor.
PUNE- Pune is an important town of Maharashtra and is also known as Oxford of the East due to the presence of a large number of prestigious education institutes. Its ancient forts, caves, temples and bewitching natural beauty are some of the irresistible temptations for the travelers. The second largest city of Maharashtra, Pune, is the place which was home to the Maratha leader, Shivaji for a long time. This calm city was also resided by the self-proclaimed guru, Bhagwan Rajneesh, also known as Osho.
AURANGABAD- Aurangabad Known for its medieval monuments and cultural heritage, the city of Aurangabad was the seat of the Mughal Empire for a short span. The town has derived its name from Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, and it served as the headquarters during his governorship over Deccan. It is a world famous city due to the presence of the Ajanta and Ellora caves regarded as the world heritage sites. These sites have Buddhist, Jain and Hindu temples.
SHIRDI- Shirdi is the home of one of the most revered saint of Maharashtra - Sai Baba of Shirdi. Well known as the 'Child of God', Sai Baba talks of tolerance towards all religions and shared the message of universal brotherhood. Innumerable tourists come throughout the year to visit the shrine of Sidhi Sai Baba, located here. Apart from this, there are some more holy shrines closely related to Sai Baba here.

DAY 1: MUMBAI/PUNE/AURANGABAD - SHIRDI
Drive to the holy shrine of Shirdi. Transfer to hotel. Later visit
DIXIT WADA MUSEUM- Located at the center of the Sansthan complex, Dixit Wada museum consists of rare black and white pictures of Sai Baba. Baba's Kafni which is long robes and his leather padukas and his smoking pipe are also on display in this museum. It is open for public from 10 am to 6 pm.
GURUSTHAN- Gurusthan is a place where Sai Baba was visible for the first time to the world. He was 16 years old at that time. There is a famous Neem tree and a little enshrine is there in Gurusthan. On a lifted platform of this enshrine a big portraiture of Baba is laid. On the other side, there is a marble statue of Baba.

DAY 2: SHIRDI
After breakfast, visit
SHANI SHINGNAPUR- It is an impressive village with the fact that no house in the village have door. The local villagers here believe that Lord Shaneshwara will save them from all evil. There is a temple of Lord Shaneshwara here with his large idol made of black stone.

DAY 3: SHIRDI - MUMBAI/PUNE/AURANAGABAD
Day free for leisure and later, drive back to Mumbai/Pune/Aurangabad to catch your flights/train towards onward destination.
