By Rail- Pune Junction, Ghorpuri, Shivajinagar, Dapodi and Hadapsar are the railway junctions in the city. A metro rail project is proposed in the city.

By Road- The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation runs buses from Pune to other major cities of the country. PMPML offers the public transport service in the Pune Metropolitan region.
