GUWAHATI- Considered to be the gateway to North East India, Guwahati is the largest city in the region. It is situated between the southern bank of Brahmaputra River and the foothills of the Shillong plateau. Dispur, a part of Guwahati, serves as the capital of Assam. The hill ringed, green wooded, river bordered urban centre was also known as Light of East in the ancient times. Popularly also known as City of Temples as the temples are perched on hills or on hillsides which offer panoramic view of the vast Brahmaputra as well as the bustling city.

MANAS NATIONAL PARK- Manas National Park in Assam, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is famous worldwide for achieving success in the conservation of the one horned Indian Rhinoceros. Besides, it also provides habitat for a number of threatened species and migratory birds. The sanctuary is one of the few known habitats of one horned rhinoceros.

Kolkata mirrors warmth, culture, creativity, intellectualism and artistic development considering that Kolkata is the home to four best Nobel laureates - Rabindranath Tagore, Ronald Ross, Mother Teresa and Amartya Sen.

SUNDARBANS- The Sunderbans is a cluster of low-lying islands in the Bay of Bengal, spread across India and Bangladesh, famous for its unique mangrove forests. This active delta region is among the largest in the world. The large mangrove forests of Sunderbans are interwoven by numerous tributaries, making it one of the most attractive places remaining on earth.

Travel Duration: 11 Nights/12 Days

DAY 1: DELHI

Arrive in Delhi and later transfer to the hotel. Evening free for local activities and shopping the local markets.

DAY 2: DELHI - GUWAHATI

Today transfer to Airport to catch flight for Guwahati. Welcome at Guwahati Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Later in the afternoon visit the temple. 

KAMAKHYA TEMPLE- The Kamakhya temple is one of the most revered shrines of Shakti in India, in the form of Kamakhya. Located on the Nilachal Hills just 7km from Guwahati, the Kamakhaya temple is of great religious importance. It also holds tremendous historic and archeological significance. The shrine is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in the country and is a part of the four most important Shakti Peethas. Kamakhya temple is the Goddess of Desire, and celebratory for the Tantrik sect of Hinduism. Followers of the Tantra Sect place their belief in Kamakshi or Kamakhya and hence this shrine holds tremendous religious, historic and archaeological significance.

EVENING CRUISE ON BRAHMAPUTRA RIVER- The Brahmaputra, also called Tsangpo-Brahmaputra, is a trans-boundary river and one of the major rivers of Asia. From its origin in southwestern Tibet as the Yarlung Zangbo River, it flows across southern Tibet to break through the Himalayas in great gorges and into Arunachal Pradesh where it is known as Dihang.

DAY 3: GUWAHATI - MANAS NATIONAL PARK

Today drive to Manas National Park. Transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure to enjoy wonders of nature or you can go for a leisure walk around the place.

DAY 4: MANAS NATIONAL PARK

In the morning discover India's most wonderful National Park. Early morning take an elephant ride in the jungle. Later take a walk along the river banks and visit the Manas Maozigendri Ecotourism Society where one can eat traditional Bodo style lunch and enjoy their music and dance. After lunch, go for river rafting and at the end, take the jungle safari to enjoy bird watching and sights of wild animals. Evening free for leisure.

DAY 5: MANAS NATIONAL PARK - GUWAHATI/SHILLONG

Day free for leisure and later depart for Guwahati. Evening free for leisure activities.

DAY 6: GUWAHATI - KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Today drive to Kaziranga National Park. On the way to Kaziranga we will explore the cultural city of Tezpur visiting its magnificent scenic beauty and exquisite archaeological ruins. Transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure to enjoy wonders of nature or you can go for a leisure walk around the place.

DAY 7: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

In the morning discover India's most wonderful National Park. Get ready early in the morning for wildlife viewing and nature walk in the park. Take a jungle safari in an open jeep/elephant safari in search of world famous one-horned Rhinos, tigers, elephants, jackals, swamp deer and many other species of mammals as well as a wealth bird life. 

In the afternoon go for a tribal village visit to see silk worm rearing by Assamese. Evening free for leisure.

DAY 8: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Today morning watch the bird life of Kaziranga. Explore the eastern Range of the National Park in a jeep safari. The eastern range of Kaziranga known as Agoratoli consists mostly of woodland and is famous for its wide variety of Birds. It is home to a variety of migratory birds and is also known to have large population of Wild Elephants. 

In the evening time once can also visit the nearby local village to see their way of life & livelihood.

DAY 9: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK - GUWAHATI - KOLKATA

Day free for leisure and later depart Guwahati Airport/Station to catch your flight/train for Kolkata. Transfer to hotel. Evening free for leisure.

DAY 10: KOLKATA - SUNDARBANS TIGER RESERVE

Today drive to the largest Tiger Reserve Sundarbans. Around midday arrive at Godkhali Jetty (Travel by land ends here). Board on Cruiser and cruise through rivers Gomor, Durgadhwani to enter river Pitchkhali on banks of which lies Sundarbans Tiger Camp overlooking the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve (Total Journey: 4 Hours: Road 2 Hours: Boat 2 Hours). 

In the afternoon watch endemic and migratory birds and wildlife while you cruise through the creeks and canals of the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve forest to Sajnekhali Watchtower and Mangrove Interpretation Centre. As the sun sets in the distant horizon return to the resort.

DAY 11: SUNDARBANS TIGER RESERVE

In the morning board a thrilling cruise towards Dobanke Watch Tower and move into the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve Forest through creeks and dense forest and numerous rivers. The canopy walk at Dobanke Watch Tower inside the forest sends chills down your spine (experience the life in which caged animals live in, while getting a 360° view of the forest). Visit the spotted deer rehabilitation centre after which cruise back through Matla Sea Face (the point from where Bay of Bengal can be seen) to Sundarbans Tiger Camp. In the afternoon experience the true Sundarbans, walking through the native village of Dayapur. Encounter wonderful sights and learn about the lifestyle, local crafts, cuisines, and way of life of the local villagers. Observe indigenous farming methods and how their houses are completely mud made with small entrances. Pass through the village market and later return to the resort.

DAY 12: SUNDARBANS - KOLKATA

Head for the morning cruise into the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve once again through creeks and rivers heading to the Sudhanyakhali Watchtower. Walk through the caged walkways after disembarking towards the watchtower, searching for the elusive tiger. Later cruise back to Sundarbans Tiger Camp. 

In the afternoon, depart to Kolkata to catch your flight/train towards onward destination.
